Kirkhof beam signing rescheduled

Due to a delay in the steel shipment, the Kirkhof Center beam signing is rescheduled for Monday, October 8, at 1:30 p.m.

Students, faculty and staff can sign the beam directly outside the construction site to the west of the Pioneer construction trailer.

The three-story, 30,000 square foot addition to the Kirkhof Center is designated to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified. The addition will create office space for the Women’s Center and Multicultural Affairs. There will also be two conference rooms, five meeting rooms, study areas, remodeled space for the Lanthorn and for WGVU and GLBT resources.

The $6.2 million project started in April and is slated for completion in May or June of 2008.
