"I am Grand Valley" nominations due November 26th

The last day for nomination of student leaders is fast approaching.
November 26, 2007 is the last day to nominate student leaders for “I am Grand Valley” recognition. Nominations are easily submitted through www.gvsu.edu/iamgv . The only requirement is that nominees be enrolled during the Fall 2007 and Winter 2008 semesters.

January 2008 will mark the sixth year of the “I am Grand Valley” campaign, a campaign dedicated to recognizing student leaders on campus. Each year, faculty, staff and students are asked to nominate students who they feel display and utilize strong leadership skills to contribute to the campus community and beyond. In January 2008, up to 1000 students will be recognized with an “I am Grand Valley” shirt at the “I am Grand Valley” leadership reception on January 23, 3008.

The “I am Grand Valley” campaign was created to recognize that student leaders are the very elements that make Grand Valley what it is. Leadership extends beyond officers in campus organizations, to student assistants in offices, athletes, orientation leaders, campus tour guides and crossing guards, tutors, community volunteers, and especially students who excel in the classroom. In past years, student leaders have been given t-shirts and coffee mugs displaying the “I am Grand Valley” logo. Help continue the “I am Grand Valley” campaign, which recognizes the difference each individual makes in our university community!
