Guest artist to teach and perform at GVSU

Saxophone Guest Artist Adam Olson will perform and conduct a Master Class on Wednesday, February 21, at Grand Valley State University. The event, from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. in the Sherman Van Solkema Recital Hall, Performing Arts Center, is free and open to the public.

Olson attended the University of Michigan, where he had the honor of being the only undergraduate finalist in the 1998 North American Saxophone Alliance Competition. As an orchestral musician Olson has performed with the Kirov Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Ann Arbor Symphony, American/Russian Young Artists Orchestra and the Traverse Symphony Orchestra. He has also premiered over twenty works for the saxophone.
