Eight faculty members received Pew Teaching Excellence Awards, presented
April 9 at the spring banquet by staff members of the Pew Faculty
Teaching and Learning Center.
The award was established to recognize outstanding professors;
recipients are nominated by students, alumni or other faculty members
and the names of nominees are forwarded to deans’ offices for final
selection.
The recipients are Kay Reich, assistant professor of nursing; Cynthia
Grapczynski, assistant professor of occupational therapy; Vijay
Gondhalekar, associate professor of finance; Asli Akbulut,assistant
professor of management; David Coffey, associate professor of
mathematics; Kevin denDulk, assistant professor of political science;
Michael DeWilde, associate professor of philosophy; and William Smith,
adjunct faculty in marketing.
