This week's theme at the GVSU Farmers’ Market will center on women’s
health issues.
Various campus departments, including the Women’s Center and Campus
Recreation, will offer recipes and tips for healthy eating and give free
blood pressure screenings. Information will be available on the symptoms
and effects of heart disease.
The market, in parking lot F of the Allendale Campus, will be open from
10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18. It will run each Wednesday through
August 22.
The market, sponsored by Work Life Connections, features local farmers
who bring fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade bread and jerky, fresh
flowers and other items.
