Extras needed for GVSU film shoot Sunday

The GVSU Summer Film Project needs 500 extras for the filming of its first feature length film, "To Live and Die in Dixie." The scene is a basketball game and will be staged at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena this coming Sunday, July 29.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at noon and are welcome to bring friends and family. Parking is available in lot C.

The scene is set in the 1980s, so try to dress to the decade. Jeans should be tight and not torn. The story’s school colors are maroon and gold. This is a full day of shooting, so plan on about six hours. Bring some munchies and reading material or cards for downtime.

To be included, please call or e-mail Alex Smith at [email protected] or (616) 834-8578, indicating how many people will be in your group.
