The free Arts at Noon series continues with a concert by the Ames Piano
Quartet, resident chamber music ensemble at Iowa State University, on
September 26 in the Cook-DeWitt Center.
Quartet members spent a week playing and teaching in Havana, Cuba, and
were the first American chamber music group to perform there in more
than 40 years. The quartet’s release of the Dvorak Quartets was hailed
by Fanfare Magazine as “one of the best chamber music recordings of the century.”
