WGVU hosts Stabenow/Bouchard debate

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Members of the media are invited to the taping of Decision 2006: The Michigan Senatorial Debate.

The debate will be taped Sunday, October 15, at 11 a.m. in the studios of WGVU-TV in the Meijer Public Broadcast Center in downtown Grand Rapids. Entrance to the studios is through the Eberhard Center, 301 W. Fulton.

MEDIA NOTE: An audio and video feed of the senatorial debate between Sen. Debbie Stabenow and Republican candidate Mike Bouchard will be available. The candidates will also be available for comment after the debate.

Moderated by WGVU News Director Fred Martino, the program will feature a panel of statewide journalists who will ask questions of both candidates.

The debate will air on public television stations around the state at 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 15. Commercial stations can choose to air the debate after the original PBS broadcast in their market. Those interested may record the broadcast from their local public television station or from the satellite feed.
