In honor of International Education Week (November 13-17) the Padnos International Center will hold a passport fair Tuesday, November 14, from 1-5 p.m. for GVSU faculty and staff members and students.
To be eligible for a passport, bring proof of U.S. citizenship, proof of identity, and a checkbook (two separate checks, totaling $97, will be needed for processing). Checks will be the only accepted form of payment.
In January, all U.S. citizens traveling by air between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, Caribbean and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport. As early as January 2008, U.S. citizens traveling to those countries by land or sea may be required to have a passport.
Passport photos can be taken at the fair for a $2 fee and with a Grand Valley ID card. The fair will be held in the PIC, 130 Lake Ontario Hall. For more information, call (616) 331-3898.
