Moroccan author gives reading

Moroccan author Laila Lalami will be reading from and reflecting upon her novel, "Hope and Other Dangerous Pursuits," when she visits Grand Valley on Tuesday, October 31.

Lalami will read in the Cook DeWitt Center from 1-3 p.m. After the lecture, Lalami will sign books and meet with audience members.

Lalami was born in Rabat, and was educated in Morocco, Britain, and the United States. Her work has appeared in Mizna, the Baltimore Review, the Los Angeles Times, The Independent, the Oreganian, the Nation, etc. She is the editor of the popular literary blog Moorishgirl.
