Winona LaDuke will speak twice on Thursday, February 2, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room; and from 8-9 p.m. in Loosemore Auditorium of the DeVos Center. LaDuke is a two-time vice presidential candidate, joining Ralph Nader on the Green Party ticket in 1996 and 2000. She serves a program director of Honor the Earth, a Native American foundation working on environmental and energy policy issues. She is also founder and co-chair of the Indigenous Women's Network.
She has written five books, both fiction and non-fiction. LaDuke graduated from Harvard and Antioch universities.
