Senior Melissa Sneller sank a five-foot birdie on the 18th hole to win Grand Valley's first-ever NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship individual title.
The Lakers recorded their highest finish as a team in school history as they claimed second place at the championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 14.
Sneller finished even par with a four-round score of 292 (74, 72, 73, 73). Junior Enid Gage tied for 11th and junior Laura Leatherman finished in 13th place.
Grand Valley made its fourth appearance in the National Championships in the past five years.
