Smoking cessation pilot program starts soon

As part of Grand Valley's health and wellness initiatives, a pilot program using low-level laser therapy for smoking cessation will be offered to five faculty or staff members who will be selected through a drawing.

Participants in this pilot program will meet with Human Resources staff members at regular intervals to have their progress monitored. The university will pay all fees.

This pilot program will begin the week of September 12. Faculty and staff members who are interested must apply by August 27. Apply to enter the drawing by calling Sue Sloop at x12215 or sending an e-mail to [email protected]. After August 27, one name will be drawn from each employment group to participate.

More information about low level laser therapy is online at www.justquitnow.com.
