Sen. Carl Levin talks national security at Grand Valley State University

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. * U.S. Sen. Carl Levin, Michigan's senior senator and the ranking Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, will discuss "New Directions in National Security" on Friday, October 14, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Alumni House, on Grand Valley's Allendale Campus. Sen. Levin also serves on the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITY: A mult box will be available during Levin's speech, from 11 a.m.- noon in the Perry Room of the Alumni House. Levin will then be available for interviews from noon-12:30 p.m. in the Emeritus Study.

The talk, presented by Grand Valley's political science department and the International Relations Program, is open to the public.
