NSF workshops offered on campus

Grand Valley's new Center for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education (CESME) is sponsoring a series of National Science Foundation workshops and short-courses for college and university teachers in the Midwest.

Courses at the Allendale Campus this summer include Maplesoft programming June 13-15, Chemconnections June 16-18, and Bioinformatics July 6-8.

CESME was established by Grand Valley this year to host NSF-sponsored courses for college teachers. CESME also offers support services to college and university science and mathematics teachers who are adopting active learning methods. It also supports Grand Valley faculty in developing workshops and short-courses.
