The subject of Murray's presentation will be "Higher Education: Keys to Strong Communities and a Strong Economy." He will discuss how universities must be able to produce graduates who are ready to assume tomorrow's jobs in a challenging, knowledge-driven, global economy. This effort requires increased investment in our higher education system to ensure that programs are viable and appropriate to meet changing industry needs.
The talk will be Thursday, October 27, in the Loosemore Auditorium of the DeVos Center, 401 W. Fulton St. in Grand Rapids. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. and the presentation begins at 8 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.
