The student-run Grand Valley Lanthorn -- for the third time in the last five years -- has earned the Division II overall General Excellence award from the Michigan Press Association. The Lanthorn is a member of the Michigan Collegiate Press Association and competes annually with Michigan student newspapers that publish weekly.
The award was presented at the Michigan Press Association winter convention. Nate was one of 10 students statewide to receive the scholarship.
In addition, Lanthorn staff earned the following awards in the 2004 Michigan Collegiate Press Association newspaper contest.
