Kindschi returns to Grand Valley

Grand Valley State University President Mark Murray announced today that P. Douglas Kindschi, former dean of science and mathematics, has returned to campus following a sabbatical leave last year. He will take up his faculty role as a professor of mathematics and philosophy with teaching assignments in both departments. His appointment is in the Mathematics Department, where he will have his office.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Kindschi will assist University Development and the President's Office with special projects. In this capacity he will be involved in fundraising and coordination of Grand Valley's involvement in various community activities such as the Jewish-Christian Dialogue, the DeVos Colloquium on Medical Ethics, and the Medical Education and Research Center board.

"I'm very pleased that Doug accepted our request to help on development and special projects," said Murray. "He has had nearly three decades of involvement in the community on behalf of the university. We appreciate all he has done and his interest in doing more."
