More than 30 Grand Valley State University staff members, students and parents are building a boat for the Children's Center playground today.
Construction is expected to last until 2 p.m. The Children's Center is on West Campus Drive, east of the Meadows Golf Course.
Helping with construction are representatives from Student Senate, Alumni Relations, Dean of Students Office, Facilities Services, Children's Center parents, University Club members, Housing and Children's Center.
The Children's Center is a child care facility for children ages 3-12. Most families with children enrolled are GVSU students, staff members or alumni.
