Grand Valley music faculty and award-winning students perform

Grand Valley's Fall Arts Celebration continues with the Faculty and Student Collage Concert, a free event open to the community on Monday, October 10, at 8 p.m. in the Cook-DeWitt Center, Allendale Campus. A Prelude Concert featuring Grand Valley Student Carillonneurs under the direction of Professor Julianne Vanden Wyngaard, University Carillonneur, will be from 7:20-7:50 p.m. at the Cook Carillon Plaza. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

Grand Valley's new oboe professor, Marlen Vavr¿kov¿, will be joined by six other artist-faculty members and nearly two dozen top music students to showcase a wide variety of talents including voice, instrumentals, and dance. The program includes selections from the operatic masterpiece "The Marriage of Figaro," John Cage's "Third Construction" for percussionists, Kozelhua's "Adagio for Oboe and Piano," and much more.
