The reception, scheduled for Thursday, September 15, serves as a kickoff for the new academic year and supports the university's community of women. It's sponsored by the Women's Commission with support from the Women's Center, Office of Planning and Equity, Positive Black Women and Women and Gender Studies Program.
Giardina will speak on "Building a Community of Women: Providing Opportunities for Leadership." The former professor of movement science now oversees student issues and policies within the Provost's Office.
