Evolution vs. creationism address to be live on the Internet

Grand Valley State University is hosting a speaker who explores how, throughout history, science and religion have each had a major impact on the lives of most individuals, yet the two movements have often been at war with each other. Because of the intense interest from around the country, Grand Valley will stream the lecture live on the Internet.

Dr. Michael Ruse, professor of philosophy at Florida State University and director of the program in history and philosophy of science, will address the issue. His lecture, "All in the Family? The Struggle in America between Evolution and Creation," will be at 7 p.m. on October 20, at Grand Valley's Eberhard Center, 301 W. Fulton, Grand Rapids. This event is free and open to the public. Seating preferences will be given to those who register at www.GrandDialogue.org.

The live Internet stream will be free and available at www.gvsu.edu. There will be an easy link to the Webcast.
