- November 15, 6-8 p.m., Cook-DeWitt Center: Performance by Bichini Bia Congo Dance Theatre, authentic African drum and dance group under the direction of Biza Sompa, choreography professor, University of Michigan.
- November 16, noon-1:50 p.m., Cook-DeWitt Center: Lecture by Mike Bratton, professor at Michigan State University. Bratton is a founder and director of the Afrobarometer, a collaborative, international, survey research project that measures public opinion on democracy, markets and civil society in 18 African countries.
