Ellenberger also performs as a part of New Jazz Conceptions, a new series at GVSU, which kicks off January 16 with a performance showcasing Grand Valley's jazz faculty. That concert is at 8 p.m. Louis Armstrong Theatre.
Both events are free and open to the public.
