This year, Poetry Night will feature readings and conversation with two Pulitzer Prize-winning poets on October 15 at 7 p.m. in the Eberhard Center, Grand Rapids Campus, 301 W. Fulton St.
The poets are Charles Wright, elected Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets in 1999, and Rita Dove, author of the acclaimed On the Bus with Rosa Parks and the first African American to be named U.S. Poet Laureate, from 1993-95. (Sponsored by Progressive AE and Charles and Stella Royce.)
Due to the overwhelming popularity of this event, Poetry Night has been moved to a larger hall at the Eberhard Center. Admittance is free. No reservations will be taken, but interested persons are asked to RSVP by calling (616) 331-2180 or by e-mailing Patricia Clark at [email protected].
