The scholarship is intended to benefit students with an interest in a sports career, like radio, television, print media, or media relations. The scholarship is open to students majoring in broadcasting, journalism and communications who can demonstrate a desire to work in the sports area. The scholarship is also available to students working for Grand Valley's Sports Information Director and to non-scholarship athletes.
