GVSU selected for AACU Institute

A Grand Valley team was selected to participate in the Fourth Annual Great Expectations Institute, held in June and sponsored by the American Association of Colleges and Universities.

Team members are Catherine Frerichs, director of the Faculty Teaching and Learning Center; psychology faculty members Donna Henderson-King and Eaaron Henderson-King; student Leah Mendoza; Susan Mendoza-Jones, assistant director of Housing and Residential Life; Diana Pace, associate dean of students; and Wendy Wenner, associate vice president of Academic Affairs.

The team will develop a pilot plan as part of the "Aligning Students and Faculty Expectations" project, a joint project of Academic Affairs and Student Services. The goal of the ASFE project is to align student and faculty expectations with the goals of a liberal education.
