GVSU extends spam protection to students

For many students, unsolicited bulk e-mail -- commonly known as "spam" -- has become a problem. To combat that, Information Technology will implement CipherTrust's IronMail anti-spam e-mail protection for student e-mail accounts on January 3. This is the same system that has protected faculty and staff accounts from spammers since winter of 2004.

Complete instructions on how to use the IronMail anti-spam software may be found are on the IT Web page. Questions about IronMail may also be directed to the CTS Helpdesk. For more information, contact the CTS Helpdesk at x12101, or Tom Norman at x12289.
