Director of Institutional Analysis receives top AP award

For years he was behind the scenes. But he was front and center during the Administrative Professional luncheon on April 26.

Bruce Tweddale, director of Institutional Analysis, received the 2004 AP Achievement Award. Tweddale has worked at Grand Valley for 38 years; he is one of a handful to have worked for three different presidents.

People who nominated Tweddale called his ability to forecast budgets and enrollment "legendary." Tweddale analyses budgets and enrollments to forecasts needs for housing, classroom space and financial aid purposes, among others.

Recipients from each of the eight groups served by the AP Committee received the AP Service Award. They are Mary Ann Sheline, director of the Regional Math and Science Center (group 1); Casey Bosman, Telecommunications manager (group 2); Meaghann Myers, coordinator of Program Services for the Padnos International Center (group 3); Bobby Springer, associate director of Multicultural Affairs (group 4); Pam Achtyes, controller, Business and Finance Department (group 5); Dewey Newsome, head swimming coach (group 6); David Moore, producer/anchor WGVU Radio (group 7); Todd Buchta, director of Development Services (group 8).
