Since the late 1960s, rocker Ted Nugent has made a reputation as much
for his words offstage as his on-stage antics. On November 5, he'll
share his thoughts on a wide-range of topics in a lecture at Grand
Valley State University.
The Grand Valley State University College Republicans are bringing
Nugent to campus for a speech on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at 8 p.m.
in the Fieldhouse arena on the Allendale campus of GVSU.
Tickets for the event are on sale at all Ticket Plus locations
throughout West Michigan and at Grand Valley State University. Tickets
are $5 for non-students and free for GVSU students with a student ID.
Nugent will speak on a variety of issues, including the American Dream,
patriotism, and the War on Terrorism. Following the speech, Nugent will
sell merchandise and sign autographs.
With more than 30 million albums sold and more media face-time than
most active politicians, Nugent has become an American icon. He is a
regular guest on top-rated radio and television shows. He has been
lauded for his tough stance against drugs and alcohol by numerous law
enforcement agencies, and is a national spokesman for DARE. Nugent is
also the author of the New York Times best-seller God, Guns, and Rock
'n' Roll
, and the recently released Kill It and Grill It
.
