Souvenir of a winning season

The Grand Valley Lakers took their great sense of purpose to Alabama and in dramatic fashion went on to become the 2002 NCAA Division II Football National Champs. They defeated Valdosta State, 31-24, in the championship game that the team was determined to win.

Grand Valley is pleased to make available two keepsakes for Laker fans. 'National Champions, Finish What We Started' is available on DVD or VHS. It features interviews with coach Brian Kelly and key Laker players. The DVD contains a variety of bonus materials. Watch the trailer in streaming video here. Grand Valley has also produced a hardcover photography book of the season, complete with a pigskin cover.

The items will be available in Grand Valley's Allendale and downtown Grand Rapids bookstores. Fans can also place orders on-line at www.gvsu.edu by clicking below the 'National Champions' logo. For more information, call 616-331-2221.
