To highlight best practice examples of teaching with technology, the Pew
Faculty Teaching and Learning Center announces a new award and seeks
nominations from students, alumni and faculty and staff members.
The Pew Teaching with Technology award recognizes faculty who use
technology in ways that are pedagogically sound, innovative or have been
disseminated throughout the university.
Ron Garrett, FTLC assistant director, said the award was created with
help from the Information Technology department to give visibility to
outstanding projects and faculty members. Up to two awards of $750 will
be awarded annually.
The nomination deadline is December 1. Nominating forms must be sent to
the nominee's dean's offices. Garrett said the sponsoring division or
school will then supply supporting information to the award committee by
February 1. The award is not confidential, but self-nominations will not
be accepted.
Nomination forms are available at the FTLC office; request one by
e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at x13498.
