Athletic dance company performs at noon

The Chicago Tribune called Melissa Thodos & Dancers 'powerful beauty.' The Chicago Sun-Times described the dance company as 'a highly original blend of ballet, modern, and gymnastics.'

Grand Valley audiences can see for themselves at noon on Tuesday, February 11 when the dance company performs in the LAT for the Arts at Noon Series.

Founded in 1993 by Melissa Thodos, the company combines a classical and modern dance base with gymnastics to create style of dance that is fast-paced, athletic and entertaining. Many dances use innovative props such as balls, hoops, poles, chairs, tri-parallel bars, and pool cues to add a creative dimension. The Chicago-based dance company has been lauded by national and international performing arts critics.
