Jean Enright, GVSU's executive assistant to the president, was honored this week in the annual Tribute Awards ceremony sponsored by the Grand Rapids YWCA. The awards are given in seven categories to honor the achievements of west Michigan women.
Enright received the honor in the Community Service category. She was cited for her work for equity and as a mentor to students. Among many accomplishments noted were her role in establishing the Campus Climate Study and the GVSU Women's Commission.
Enright is a longtime supporter of the arts in West Michigan, and the Tribute award also recognized her activities as a member of the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids, and membership on the boards of the Wealthy Street Theater and the Frederik Meijer Gardens sculpture committee.
