Chicago sculptor Carolyn Ottmers' latest works are featured in an exhibit that opens Monday in the GVSU Gallery on the Allendale Campus.
Ottmers is a professor and runs the foundry at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a former artist-in-residence in the John Michael Kohler Arts Center's Arts/Industry Program. She has been featured in exhibits throughout the United States and Europe.
Ottmers describes her work as an exploration of the variation and diversity of nature as it is interpreted through the urban environment.
The Carolyn Ottmers exhibition runs through March 28.
