Making Space

The latest round of GVSU Housing improvements, now underway on the Allendale Campus, includes some new construction and some work to make the old like new again.

Robinson House's units are being updated with such features as more bathroom privacy and room configuration to accommodate lofts. Built-in furnishings are being removed, windows will be replaced, and new carpeting will be installed.

Space in Kleiner Commons will be doubled to make room for more seating, food service, and hanging out. The Commons will take on a coffee house atmosphere.

Robinson and Kliener are slated to be ready for this Fall Semester.

The university will also renovate Kistler House in time for Fall 2001, and four new 122-bed housing units will be underway on northeast of Kleiner, also to be completed by Fall 2001.
