Make the Crawl

Music buffs, carillon fans, and just plain tourists are invited for a first-ever cross-state listening tour of Michigan carillons. GVSU presents Carillon Crawl 2000, a day-long adventure to six carillons across the Lower Peninsula.

The trip, set for Saturday, July 22, leaves the GVSU Allendale Campus and stops for live performances at Michigan State, Bloomfield Hills, including Christ Church Cranbrook and Kirk in the Hills, and the University of Michigan, for performances on the two instruments there. The trip concludes with Julianne VandenWygaard's brief recital on the Cook Carillon in Allendale.

Lunch will be served at Kirk in the Hills, a picnic dinner in Allendale, and snacks and beverages on the luxury motor coach.

The cost is $50 per person. Seats on the motor coach are limited. Call Alumni Relations at 895-3592, or 1-800-558-0541 for more information and to register. Credit cards are accepted.
