GVSU has chosen Priscilla Kimboko to fill the new post of Dean of Grants Administration and Graduate Studies.
Kimboko has been the associate dean of the graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado since 1994. She was previously a professor of gerontology and assistant dean there.
I believe in excellence in graduate and extended studies programs and will work to promote GVSU's reputation for teaching excellence and commitment to diversity, because these are passions of mine, Kimboko said.
I believe that graduate education is a vital resource that is much needed by individuals and society as a whole.
GVSU has 14 graduate degree programs with various specific areas of concentration. This fall, with the opening of the Richard M. DeVos Center, all of these programs will be offered on the Grand Rapids Campus.
As GVNow reported earlier, James Boelkins has been named vice provost of the Grand Rapids Campus.
