Two members of the GVSU community will be honored during the 18th annual Giants Banquet and Awards Ceremony Saturday evening at the Ford Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids.
Harriet Singleton, a senior counselor in the Career Planning and Counseling Center, was given the Walter Coe Public Service Award, and Faite R-P Mack, professor of Education, was given the Hattie Beverly Education Award.
Sponsored by Grand Rapids Community College and a consortium of African American organizations, the Giant Awards honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding commitment and contributions to greater Grand Rapids.
