Secretary of State Candice Miller has unveiled Michigan's newest series of specialty license plates this week, featuring public university logos.

The GVSU plate will be available through Secretary of State branch offices beginning Monday, October 2.

The plates cost $35, in addition to the regular vehicle registration. Twenty-five dollars from each GVSU plate sale will go to the GVSU Scholarship Fund. Annual renewal will cost $10, which goes directly to GVSU.

The GVSU license will also be on sale on Homecoming Saturday, with the Secretary of State's Mobile Office on the Allendale Campus most of the day of October 14 for on-the-spot sales.

Laker fans can also buy a collectors plate for the front of their vehicles, emblazoned with the GVSU logo and the words Be True to Your School. That plate will also cost $35.
