A Grand Rapids school has a colorful addition to its main hallway, thanks to some of its own students' creativity.
Fifth and sixth grade students at Ottawa Hills Montessori Academy, one of the Grand Rapids Public Schools, have unveiled tile mosaics they recently finished with the help of a group of GVSU Art students.
Professor Bill Charland had his Art Education students teach the elementary students how to make mosaics during the past semester as a class project. The GVSU students worked in three teams to help the kids complete 4-by-8-foot pieces of art.
The school is located at 1515 Fisk Street in southeast Grand Rapids.
