In what's become an annual tradition, GVSU was again featured prominently in Christmas on the Grand, Grand Rapids' official start of the holiday season, at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum recently.
The program, featuring former President Ford and music by Grand Valley's Varsity Men, culminated in the lighting of 50,000 lights outside the museum, and a collection of 15 holiday trees inside.
Grand Valley's entry in the tree display, prepared this year by students from the Padnos School of Engineering, received recognition as Most Creative. It is decorated with recycled materials and engineering artifacts.
The Christmas on the Grand holiday tree display will run though January 9 at the Ford Museum.
