Yugoslavian classical guitarist Petar Jankovic will present a debut recital featuring music by Albeniz and Antonio Ruiz Pipo on Friday at 12 noon, at the Cook-DeWitt Center. The artist is known for his expressive, emotional and communicative interpretations.
Jankovic, who stared his professional career in 1985, has performed numerous recitals and given master classes in both Europe and the U.S. As a student in Yugoslavia, he earned his degree in classical guitar from the Music Academy in Belgrade. He was the top winner at the Competition in Performance of Hispano-American music for 1998.
