  • September 30: Hispanic Heritage Celebration events continue with a screening and discussion of the movie "In the Heights"; Kirkhof Center, room 2204, 6:30 p.m.

  • October 2: For students and alumni, GVSU and JCPenney partner for "Suit Up," an opportunity to save an additional 30 percent on career attire at the Rivertown Crossings Mall location from 3-6 p.m.

  • October 4: Undergraduate Research Fair gives students an opportunity to get information about participating in research from faculty and staff members; Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room, 5-7 p.m.

  • The Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival production of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" begins October 7 in the Haas Center for Performing Arts, Louis Armstrong Theatre. 

  • October 7 is the deadline to sign up for Walktober, a 31-day walking challenge sponsored by Human Resources. Join a team or participate by yourself.

  • The year-long FrenchFest, part of the Grand Valley Piano Chamber Series, kicks off October 10 with a 4:45 p.m. program at New City Kids, 906 Alpine Ave. NW in Grand Rapids. This program and future events will feature Grand Valley faculty members as well as other musicians in 13 concerts throughout the greater Grand Rapids area.
