Project GO

Project GO is a nationwide program open to all qualified ROTC students offering fully-funded opportunities in critical language education, overseas study, and cross-cultural experience. Through Project GO, future military officers develop linguistic and cross-cultural communication skills required for effective leadership for all Services in the 21st century operational environment. Since 2007, Project GO has provided approximately 6,500 students with opportunities to study culture and 19 languages, both domestically and abroad in 33 countries around the world.

Eligibility

Applicants

In order to be eligible, at the time of application, an applicant must be:

  1. A U.S. citizen.
  2. An undergraduate or graduate student on track to commission through the Army, Naval, or Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), contracted or non-contracted, at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States. Marine Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) students are also eligible.

Domestic Participants

The following categories of applicants are eligible for domestic programs only:

  1. Newly commissioned officers awaiting active duty (limited to officers commissioned in May and interested in summer domestic programs).
  2. ROTC students who are drilling members of the National Guard or Reserves.
  3. Army Green to Gold members.
