The William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, is a path to a career in the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent for applicants interested in entering a master’s degree program in the fall. This two-year fellowship provides generous financial support annually for two years in academic funding for tuition, room, and board, books, mandatory fees, and some travel expenses and stipends, housing, and travel allowances for the two summer practicums. Women, members of minority groups underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and those with financial need are encouraged to apply.

The U.S. Department of State offers a two-year graduate fellowship program, the William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship, that provides academic funding over two years, summer practicums, professional development, and mentorship, and leads to an exciting career in the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent. DSS Special Agents are sworn federal law enforcement officers responsible for the security of Foreign Service personnel, property, and sensitive information around the world.
