Zero Waste Football Game

Join the SEC & Farm Club in helping keep GVSU green & clean! Various stations will be placed around the stadium containing recycling bins, composting bins, and landfill bins; Volunteers will help patrons sort through their refuse and decide what items are recyclable, compostable, and garbage! Volunteers will be given "cheat sheets" to help sort the items, as well as gloves and free concession vouchers! We will meet at the game around 6:30PM, and will stay until the last play of the game. Feel free to bring your friends and come help keep as much waste out of our landfills as possible!

Hello! We are the Environmental Coalition on campus and we host regular sustainability workshops and events for both the diehard environmentalists and those who just want to learn how to live a more earth friendly lifestyle- Anyone and Everyone is welcome! We also multiple environmental related volunteer events and opportunities throughout the semester like Zero-Waste football games, campus clean-ups, group hikes, facility tours (industrial compost facility tour, landfill tour, waste-to-energy tour), and we also provide networking and friendship opportunities to meet other like-minded and sustainability focused peers colleagues!
