Why is the flag flying at half-staff today?

GVSU, Michigan, and U.S. flags will fly at half-staff beginning December 1, 2021, to honor and remember the victims of the shooting at Oxford High School in Oakland County. Flags will remain at half-staff through December 12, 2021.

Flags will fly at half-staff December 6, 2021, through December 11, 2021, to honor the life and service of former U.S. Senator Bob Dole.
