Volunteering with "In the Image"

**PLEASE RSVP BY THURSDAY @12pm**
In The Image: Just Between Friends (JBF) is an incredible community sale that provides amazing opportunities for consignors, shoppers, and charities. In The Image, is a civic and social organization. We envision a community where everyone in need of clothing and household necessities shops for free in a welcoming environment. I n The Image is thankful for the generous partnership with JBF, in which consignors opt to donate items to our Children's Section in our Free Store. This partnership has helped us provide our members with almost 200,000 items that we were able to give out in our Free Store's Children's Section!
Your job at this event would be assisting the individuals running the JBF Sale where they see fit. These duties typically include: helping cashiers bag items, hanging up clothing, and helping organize and maintain clean shelves and racks for shoppers.
This is a large event that helps the parents and children who shop at our Free Store and the help from your group would be very appreciated!
Carpooling will be available (you will receive an email a day prior to arrange driving)

Hunger and Homelessness is a student led service and advocacy volunteer organization at GVSU. We work with community agencies that, directly or indirectly, service those dealing with the realities of hunger and homelessness. We typically have 1 volunteer event every weekend, usually on Saturday mornings. Theses events take place at local agencies that target the hungry and homeless population within the community. For example, thrift stores, soup kitchens, food banks, and programs hosted by local churches. We carpool to and from campus for theses events, as we recognize that not all of our members are in a situation where they are able to have a car on campus. We have a general club meeting once a month to discuss past and future events. We have no dues and no minimum number of meetings or events that our members are required to attend. The Hunger and Homelessness Executive Board recognizes that our members have busy schedules, and we appreciate any amount of time a member is able to donate to our organization.

Additionally, promoting on-campus and community awareness of the lifestyles and experiences of this organization's target populations is also an important component to the purpose of this group. We believe that education is a key component to resolving the issue of hunger and homelessness throughout our community and neighboring communities.
