Tournées Film Festival: Public Film Discussion Event

At this Zoom meeting, we are hosting an official discussion event regarding our Film Festival. There will be six breakout rooms that you will be able to join (and freely move between) to discuss the films with other viewers from the public. We will also provide a few stimulating discussion questions. We believe that it is quite valuable to have discussions with others who view the film. Each person brings their own experiences, opinions, and knowledge to the table we can help each other understand films and see the contents in a new perspective. If you participate in the Film Festival, please consider joining us for what is sure to be a unique and interesting discussion.

Ending time is approximate. If discussions conclude before 8:30, we will end at that time. If some are still continuing, we will allow the meeting to remain open for a period of time in lieu of cutting off conversations.

Please note that for the security and safety of all participants, a Zoom account is required in order to join this meeting. To avoid technological difficulties the day of the event, we recommend that you create your account beforehand, if you do not have one already.

Our student organization strives to educate and inform the student community of Grand Valley State University about Francophone culture from around the world. Through our cultural events as well as those of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, such as the Tournées Film Festival, Mélodies: An evening of French Song, Music and Poetry, the annual Fête de la Francophonie, baking and cooking workshops and many other fun activities, we hope to spread not only our knowledge of the importance of the cultures from around the French-speaking world, but also all the reasons why we love it so much. Our club is open to all, from those who simply wish to travel to Paris one day to others who are actual French citizens "de souche". Please take note that members DO NOT need to speak French. However, some cultural activities will inevitably be conducted in French.
